What to say about June.

I know it's almost August, but I did tell you that it was a busy summer! June was a solid month. We did so much. It was super busy and interesting. Let's see if I can recap.

Sometimes we decide that since we live next to such a lovely, wonderful and vibrant city to the north that sometimes we ought to visit. This time Loz and I decided to grab a dinner and a show, and there isn't a better show than the Seattle Men's Chorus! They were performing songs from Disney and if you know anything about Loz, she's a pretty big Disney animation fan, but not a Disney adult. So we had to go! I booked us a decent dinner before hand at Alder & Ash.

After dinner, we were off to the Paramount Theater to see the show! It's such a different sight to see all these lights when you're normally looking at trees. I'll take it though!

It was a great time and I'll tell you that if you get the chance, see them. They put on an amazing show and they are such a wonderful community. I'll be at every one of their shows.

The next weekend...Larrabee State Park, Washington State's First State Park. We decided to head up after work on Friday and see if we couldn't get this long Juneteenth weekend rolling right away!

The drive out to Larrabee was so pretty! The hues that come off the fields was just amazing. I really wish I would have tossed my drone up so you could see all the fields of color! Pretty great! After that we rolled into camp!

This is when things kind of hit us. This site was WAY too small, and this campground was WAY too full. There was no place to put our tent. I do understand our tent is big, but honestly, it's no bigger than a 8 person Coleman. We took a little stroll around the campground and discovered that this was also not our caliber of camper that we would enjoy as neighbors. We decided to hop back in Franklin and we left back home. Feeling defeated, we decided to look elsewhere for camping. Before we left the area, we needed to grab some shots of the islands.

After getting home, we decided to head to a place that we love and has always greeted us with great views and wonderful camps. The Olympic Peninsula, but we didn't want to go to anywhere that we had been. So we directed ourselves to the Eastern portion fo the National forest and began our hunt. It didn't take long until we got to Hamma Hamma. We couldn't have asked for a better place to camp.

The views and the relaxation was great. I truly was needing it after the night before. We totaled 7hrs in the car going to and from Larrabee SP, I just wanted a hammock. Our next adventure was far different than anything I've ever done before.

Portland Formula-E! My friend Mike and I decided that we should go see a bunch of really quiet cars go around a track really fast, and it did not disappoint. It was one of the coolest things I have been to in a while. I know I spend a lot of time out in the forest, but seeing those electric cars hit over 200mph was pretty impressive. Check out this video of the cars passing in front of us!

Check out these photos for a little more of what I saw!

This was on the seats a head of us on the shuttle to the race. Mike and I laughed quite a bit.

This would be the shortest porta-potty line that we would see all day.

This was kind of cool, the sky divers who were delivering the trophy for the prix were from Shelton. Loz and I had driven by their main campus less than a week from this.

Well that was it for June. I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but it sure feel like we were running around ALL the time. I've been shooting videos on every outing, but finding time to edit them is tough. They might have to wait until winter, thats a big might. Either way enjoy this last gallery from June.
